The company

DotVocal is a limited company founded in March 2004. Until September 2006, it was housed within the Incubatore dell’Alta Tecnologia of the Sviluppo Italia Liguria. Now it has acquired its own offices in an historic palace of the Rolli in the centre of Genoa.

The main activity of the company is the development of voice and multimodal applications.

The company includes two programmers certified as ‘VoiceXML Certified Application Developers'.

The reference market is that of Information Technology and telephony (customer services, help desk, call centre, IVR, etc). Particular attention is made to the development and integration of wireless and mobile applications, e-business and on-demand services.

The professionalism and standard of excellence of the products are guaranteed by collaboration with international research institutes and working groups for the development of standards and the circulation of voice technologies; in particular, the VoiceXML Forum - Accessibility Committee, and the working groups of the W3C: Voice Browser Working Group and Multimodal Interaction Working Group.

Moreover, we collaborate with the VoiceXML Italian User Group and with the International Webmasters Association Italia.

The offices

The offices of DotVocal are in Piazza Pinelli 1/7, in the centre of Genoa.

Train

Leave the train at Genoa Piazza Principe. It is possible to get a bus, metro or taxi in front of the station. See the relevant section for details.

Metro

  • Take the metro in the direction of Piazza DeFerrari.
  • Get off at "Piazza San Giorgio".
  • Proceed in the direction of “Acquario di Genova”.
  • At this point, stand with your back to the aquarium, cross the piazza before you (Piazza Caricamento) and go down Vico Pinelli for approximately 10 metres to Piazza Pinelli.

Car

The most convenient exit is that of Genoa East (A7) or Genoa West (A7/A10).)

Genoa East

  • At the Genoa East exit, continue in the direction of the centre and follow the signs for the “Acquario di Genova”.
  • Park within the ample car park opposite the aquarium.
  • At this point, stand with your back to the aquarium, cross the piazza before you (Piazza Caricamento) and go down Vico Pinelli for approximately 10 metres to Piazza Pinelli.

Genoa West

  • From the Genoa West exit, follow the signs for the raised road, along the Genoa-Fiera one-way system.
  • Leave at the first exit (Piazza Caricamento) and follow the instructions for parking at the aquarium.
  • Park within the ample car park opposite the aquarium.
  • Stand with your back to the aquarium, cross the piazza before you (Piazza Caricamento) and go down Vico Pinelli for approximately 10 metres to Piazza Pinelli.
